Lidocaine and Prilocaine are used to relieve pain and itching caused by conditions such as sunburn or other minor burns, insect bites or stings, poison ivy, poison oak, poison sumac, minor cuts, or scratches.

Description: EMLA includes two topical anesthetics that are frequently found in numbing creams but together in one formulation. These are the strongest products allowed by the FDA, without a prescription. The EMLA can be used before dermatological procedures, Microneedling, Botox/filler injections, tattooing and more. This product helps make common dermatological procedures more comfortable for patients. It is stronger than the typical numbing cream with a higher total concentration of anesthetic.

Lidocaine and Prilocaine belong to a group of medicines known as topical local anesthetics. It deadens the nerve endings in the skin. This medicine does not cause unconsciousness like general anesthetics do when used for surgery.

This medicine is available with a prescription; however, your doctor may have special instructions on the proper use and dose for your medical condition.

Lidocaine & Prilocaine Numb-It ® Cream is a topical prescription medication that consists of 2.5% lidocaine and 2.5% of prilocaine. This topical anesthetic emulsion is designed to be used on normal intact skin for local analgesia. It may be prescribed as a pretreatment or infiltration anesthesia, or for superficial minor surgery.

EMLA is frequently used by dermatologists but may also be used by dentists prior to injections of Botox for treating bruxism and temporomandibular disorders. It may also help during certain orthodontic procedures or in treating conditions affecting maxillofacial muscles. This product is used in the following:

• Cosmetic sector
• Minor Surgical procedures
• Estheticians, ( Microneedling, Laser or Light based resurfacing, Botox & dermal fillers, Laser hair removal & any treatment requiring needle sticking)
• Dermatologist
• Tattooing or tattoo removal

This is the strongest formulation allowed by the FDA

Application: Apply 45 to 60 minutes prior to procedure to numb the tissue

Numbing effects lasts between 4 and 6 hours

 Inactive ingredients:

Polyoxyethylene fatty acid esters (as emulsifiers), carboxypolymethylene (as a thickening agent), sodium hydroxide to adjust to a pH approximating 9, and purified water to 1 gram.
